Rose Henderson-Nadler

Rose met her future husband, Bernard Nadler, after he helped her move her car out of a snowbank. Bernard proposes to Rose after dating for five months, but Rose reveals that she is dying from cancer. Rose reveals that she only has a year left to live, but Bernard insists on marrying her regardless.

While on their honeymoon in Australia, Bernard takes Rose to a faith healer. The healer tells Rose that he cannot help her, because she is meant to be healed elsewhere. Rose tells the healer to lie to Bernard that he was able to help her.

While on Oceanic Flight 815, Bernard goes to use the restroom at the back of the plane. He is still in the back of the plane when it splits apart in mid-air, meaning he crashes with the Tailies and Rose crashes with Jack, Locke and the other survivors.

After the crash, Rose primarily keeps to herself. Jack tells her she's in shock, but she insists that her husband, Bernard, is still alive. Rose acts as a mother-figure to the other survivors and often gives wise words of advice.

In Season 2, Rose and Bernard are reunited when the Tailies make their way to the survivors' beach. When Bernard comes up with a plan to create a giant SOS symbol on the beach in hopes of getting rescued, Rose discourages him. She eventually admits that the faith healer didn't heal her, but that the island did. She tells him that she is afraid that her cancer will return if she leaves the island. Bernard agrees to remain on the island with her for the rest of their lives.

When Jack comes up with a plan to kills the Others and contact the freighter crew at the end of Season 3, Bernard offers to stay behind on the beach to help, which prompts Rose to worry about his safety. They are reunited after the freighter is contacted. When Jack and Locke part ways in Season 4, Rose elects to return to the beach with Jack. Having seen Locke kill Naomi, Rose is distrustful of him. When Jack gets sick and requires an appendectomy, Rose says that it is odd that he has gotten sick on the island, as it should heal him instead.

Rose is on the beach with Bernard when Ben moves the island, disappearing with everyone else who remained on the island.
