Josh Holloway

Josh was born in 1969, in San Jose, California. Interested in movies at an early age, Josh dropped out of the University of Georgia after a year to be a model.

Josh made an appearance in a few movies and TV shows, including Sabretooth, Doctor Benny, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NCIS, Cold Heart and Moving August. He also appeared in two music videos: Aerosmiths "Cryin'" and Billie Myers' "Tell Me".

He landed the role of James "Sawyer" Ford in Lost, which propelled him to stardom. In 2008 Josh also joined the cast of the movie Stay Cool, along with Wynona Ryder, Chevy Chase and Sean Astin.

Josh is married and the couple is expecting their first child.

James 'Sawyer' Ford

As a young boy living in Tennessee, James Ford's mother was conned by a man who stole their family's money. As a result, James' father killed his mother and then himself. Young James vows to avenge his parents' death. Unfortunately, James soon encounters financial difficulty and adopts the name, alias (Sawyer) and profession of the man responsible for his parents' death. Now calling himself Sawyer, James performs several cons on various women, much like the original Sawyer did on his mother.

Sawyer carries out a long con on a woman named Cassidy, who eventually discovers the truth and asks to be his partner. While pretending to be partners, Sawyer actually continues to con her. After leaving her, Cassidy presses charges and Sawyer lands in prison. While in prison, Cassidy visits Sawyer and tells him they have a daughter named Clementine.

The prison warden agrees to shorten Sawyer's sentence if he helps him discover the location where a fellow prisoner hid money that he stole. Sawyer gets the location from the prisoner and asks that his reward money be put in a bank account for his daughter.

After leaving prison, Sawyer is told by a friend that the original Sawyer has been found in Australia. Sawyer travels to Australia and confronts the man he believes to be Sawyer, eventually shooting him. Just before he dies, Sawyer realizes that the man is not the original Sawyer, but that his friend set him up. Sawyer also meets up with Christian Sheppard in a bar and is eventually arrested in Australia. He is deported and gets on Oceanic Flight 815.

After the crash, Sawyer clashes with most of the other survivors. He hoards many of the supplies from the plane and insults the other survivors. Sawyer is attracted to Kate and the two of them seem to develop a love-hate relationship. When Michael and some others decide to build a raft towards the end of Season 1 in an attempt to escape the island, Sawyer joins in and is one of four people who end up on the raft.

After the raft is destroyed and Walt is kidnapped, Sawyer, Michael and Jin meet up with the Tailies, a group of survivors from the tail section of the plane who crashed on the other side of the island. They lead the remaining Tailies back to their camp. Sawyer then teams up with Charlie to create a con, which eventually leads to him getting possession of all of the survivors' guns. Sawyer, Jack and Kate are captured by the Others as Michael and Walt leave in the island in a boat.

While Jack is being held in another facility, Sawyer and Kate become closer as they are held captive and forced to perform work by the Others. While attempting to escape, Ben eventually shows Sawyer that they are being held on a second island, which is close to the survivors' island. Kate and Sawyer have sex and then attack their captors which, along with Jack's help in the operating room, allows them to escape, along with Karl, who is an Other and the boyfriend of Ben's daughter, Alex. When Kate and some other survivors go to rescue Jack, Sawyer steps into the leadership role. He is extremely upset that Juliet returns to the camp, along with Jack.

Late in Season 3, Locke tricks Sawyer into coming with him to the Black Rock. Locke has captured his own father (Anthony Cooper), who is also the original Sawyer. Unable to kill him himself, Locke asks Sawyer to get rid of Cooper for the both of them, which he does.

When the camp divides in Season 4, Sawyer chooses to go with Locke. After Alex is murdered by a man from the freighter, Sawyer decides to return to the beach and Jack's camp. While trekking back to the camp along with Miles (from the freighter), Claire and Aaron, Claire takes off in the middle of the night and Sawyer decides to take Aaron back to the camp. Sawyer joins Kate, Jack and other survivors on the freighter and the helicopter, but decides to jump off the helicopter in order to let the others make their escape. He rejoins Juliet on the beach and sees that the freighter has blown up and wonders about the safety of their friends. The two are drinking on the beach together as the island disappears.
