For those of you who plan to start watching the new ABC series FlashForward, which will be premiering on Thursday, September 24, we have started a brand new fansite for the show (much like this fansite).

There's only a bit of information on there right now, but much more will come (including news, spoilers, photos, promos, etc).  You can check out the site here:  www.flashforward.net

Misdirection Concerning Charlie
Posted on Jun 11, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

Call the ABC Network the masters of misdirection.  After my last post speculating whether Charlie would be returning to Lost, based on a very telling commercial, we've learned that Dominic Monaghan IS returning to ABC....but not on Lost.

He's actually joining the cast of the new show, Flash Forward.  According to IGN:

EW.com's Michael Ausiello discovered that rather than returning to Lost, the promo instead was referring to Monaghan's role on a new ABC series. Of course ABC has a rather notable ten new scripted series for next season, meaning there were a lot of possibilities as to what show Monaghan would be part of.

IGN has now learned what show Monaghan is going to be on and that it's one we already were quite intrigued by - Flash Forward.

Like others (including in our comments), we had thought Flash Forward seemed like a very likely candidate for Monaghan's secret show. Created by Brannon Braga and David Goyer, the high concept series is being positioned by ABC as something of a spiritual follow up to Lost and was one of two geek-friendly series -- the other being the remake of V -- that would most mesh with the Lost fanbase Monaghan brings with him. Sources in the know regarding Monaghan's situation now tell IGN that is indeed the case, and Monaghan will have a major role on Flash Forward.

We contacted ABC about Monaghan for an official response, and a spokesperson told us, "There is a lot of speculation out there right now, but we're not confirming any casting at this point." However, we're confident about our multiple sources and that the former Charlie Pace will indeed be seen on Flash Forward.

Based on the novel by Robert J. Sawyer, Flash Forward's cast includes Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love), John Cho (Harold & Kumar / Star Trek), Sonya Walger (Penny on Lost) and Jack Davenport (the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy). The story follows what happens when a global event causes everyone on Earth to black out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. The populace awakens to discover the many tragedies that occurred as a result of the phenomenon, while also infused with visions of their own future.

However, E!Online's Kristen notes that there's still a possibility that Charlie might return to Lost for Season 6:

As for Charlie Pace, Dom's reps tell us, "He might or might not be back on Lost...You'll just have to stay tuned." Relations between team Dom and team Darlton seem fairly good, so we're not just going to stay tuned, we're going to cross our fingers and pray that dead rock star Charlie comes back just long enough to see Claire and Aaron get on that helicopter and escape the Island, fulfilling Desmond's vision. We think that would make dead rock star Charlie happy.

We'll have to wait and see, but it sounds like Dominic's going to be very busy!

Charlie Returning to Lost?
Posted on Jun 5, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

ABC has been putting out these commercials featuring actors from their various shows living in the same house.  One of them (below) features Terri Hatcher and Matthew Fox, while another shows a big group of stars, including Jorge Garcia.  The most recent one features Dominic Monaghan, who, we all remember, used to play Charlie on the show.  What's interesting is that at the end of the commercial, McDreamy says to him "You are so dead" and Dominic replies "Actually, I was."  Curious, yes?  Does this mean that the detonation of the bomb could result in Charlie coming back to the show?

Here's what the people in charge have to say, via EW:

An ABC spokesperson declined to comment, but a network insider cautions against reading too much into the spot. "There's obviously a lot of ABC talent in the promo," the source points out. "It doesn't necessarily mean that Dominic is returning to Lost."

Monaghan's rep, meanwhile, had this response when asked if his client was being resurrected on Lost. "You never know. Stay tuned."

Still, it could mean something right?  Is Dominic on any other ABC show?  If not, why feature him in the commercials now?  Check out the Dominic commercial below, followed by the other ABC commercials I mentioned above.

New Show & Fansite - Flash Forward
Posted on May 24, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

From the people who brought you the Prison Break, Lost and Heroes fansites, comes a new fansite for a brand new show: Flash Forward. Flashforward will begin airing on ABC in Fall 2009. We will be starting a brand new Flash Forward fansite over the summer. Once it is up, we will annouce it here. In the meantime, I wanted to introduce everyone to the show, because we do have some information about the plot and several promos already.

Based on the book by Robert J. Sawyer, the network is describing the plot of the show as follows: When a mysterious event causes the entire world to black out, humanity is given a glimpse into its near future, and every man, woman, and child is forced to come to grips with whether their destinies can be avoided or fulfilled. Adapting award-winning author Robert J. Sawyer's revolutionary novel, executive producers David S. Goyer (visionary co-writer of "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight") and Brannon Braga ("24," "Star Trek: Enterprise") invite you to embark on a journey to answer the question, "if you knew what your future held, what would you do?"

"Flash Forward" stars Joseph Fiennes as Mark Benford, John Cho as Demetri Noh, Jack Davenport as Lloyd Simcoe, Sonya Walger as Olivia Benford, Courtney B. Vance as Stan Wedeck, Brian O'Byrne as Aaron Stark, Christine Woods as Janis Hawk, Zachary Knighton as Bryce Varley, and Peyton List as Nicole.

ABC originally aired mysterious advertisements during Lost, showing flashes of people's futures and asking viewers "what did you see?".

The End of Locke?
Posted on May 19, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

In the season 5 finale of Lost we learned that John Locke didn't actually come back to life when he returned to the island, as we all thought he had.  Instead, there was an imposter Locke alive and well on the island.  Was he the mysterious man who appeared with Jacob at the beginning of the episode?  And should we expect the real Locke to return?  Terry O'Quinn provided a few hints in a recent interview.

Viewers of ABC's "Lost" saw the body of a dead John Locke in the show's Season 5 finale Wednesday night. However, a very alive Terry O'Quinn, who plays Locke, was in Spartanburg on Thursday to play in the BMW Charity Pro-Am at Carolina Country Club.

Between holes, O'Quinn was happy to talk to fans about golf, the finale and the fate of his character in the show's final season, beginning in 2010.  O'Quinn said he hasn't seen the finale and didn't know how the story was edited.

"Don't tell me," he joked. "I want to be surprised."

The rest of the article is a little spoilery (ie. O'Quinn tells his thoughts on Locke's fate), but click here if you want to read it.

Season 6 Teaser Trailer
Posted on May 14, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

Here's the teaser trailer for Season 6 of Lost.  Is that the smoke monster in the background?  And it looks like Jack's eye.  Does that mean Season 6 will open like Season 1?  Will all of the castaways be back on the island in the same time?  So many questions....so long to drive ourselves crazy trying to find the answers.

Recap Posted: Episodes 5x16 & 5x17 "The Incident"
Posted on May 13, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

My friend Hasini is getting tired of Lost.  She says the plot is getting too convoluted and she's losing patience.  I love Hasini, but today she told me "real friends tell each other when they're wrong".  So....Hasini, you're wrong.  And tonight proved that.  Because the season 5 finale was freaking off the hook!  I can't even begin to describe what happened, but I'll try.

Jacob, who is most definitely a real person and most definitely NOT Christian Shephard, proceeds to visit most of our main characters at important parts of their lives.  And he and another mysterious man seem to be engaged in a battle for some sort of supremacy (over the island?  over something bigger?).  We see the side profile of the statue, which Jacob actually lives in.

In 1977, Kate, Sawyer and Juliet leave the sub and return to the island to stop Jack.  Along the way they meet up with Vincent, Rose and Bernard!  Sawyer tries to convince Jack to stop his crazy plan, but Jack refuses and the two fight.  Sayid gets shot and seems very near death.  Eventually the action converges on the Swan site, where the incident seemingly occurs and the electromagnetic energy starts sucking all metal objects into a hole that Radzinsky was drilling in the ground.  Juliet gets sucked into the hole, but she's still alive at the bottom.  Until she sees the un-detonated bomb, that is, picks up a rock and starts banging away at it.  Then it explodes and we fade to white.

In 2007, we see that Ilana is actually working with Jacob and she takes Bram, some of her other pals, and Lapidus on a long trek to the statue.  Richard has led Locke, Ben and the others to the statue so Locke and Ben can speak to Jacob.  BUT, it turns out Locke isn't really Locke.  Locke is actually dead (and inside that box Ilana and her pals were carting around).  FakeLocke, however, is the mysterious man who succeeds in killing Jacob.

Crazy, right?  You have no bloody idea.  Click here to read the entire recap.
